Input file

Our API uses a .MDF and .LDF file as input. The .MDF file is the Microsoft SQL Server database file that contains the data and the .LDF file is the log file. If you closed your database in a clean way, you only need the .MDF file. If you database was not properly closed, you need the .MDF and the related .LDF file (for example test.mdf and test_log.ldf).

Max file size for web uploads: 50 GB

Output file

The API will return a ZIP archive that contains a .SQL file. This .SQL is a PostgreSQL dump file and can be restored into your PostgreSQL installation.

How long does it take?

The conversion process takes between 15 seconds and multiple minutes. It depends on the size of the database.
