Convert MyISAM files to MariaDB online

Add file

Input file

Our API uses .FRM, .MYD, .MYI files as input. These files are MySQL Server MyISAM files. Usually, a single table is comprised of all three of these files. You can upload files for multiple tables.

Max file size for web uploads: 50 GB

Output file

The API will return a ZIP archive that contains a .SQL file. This .SQL is a MariaDB dump file and can be restored into your MariaDB installation.

Conversion methods

Using our Java tool

Download the RebaseData client Java tool . To convert your database using RebaseData, run the following command:

                    java -jar client-0.0.5.jar convert --output-format=mariadb myisam-files.. output-dir/

Using CURL

Let's imagine there's a table called products. You typically would have the files products.frm, products.myd and products.myi. The curl command would look like this.

curl -F 'files[]=@products.frm' -F 'files[]=@products.myd' -F 'files[]=@products.myi' 'https://www.rebasedata.com/api/v1/convert?outputFormat=mariadb&errorResponse=zip' -o output.zip

It's also possible to convert multiple tables at once. Let's assume we also have an orders table. Check out the following command.

curl -F 'files[]=@products.frm' -F 'files[]=@products.myd' -F 'files[]=@products.myi' -F 'files[]=@orders.frm' -F 'files[]=@orders.myd' -F 'files[]=@orders.myi' 'https://www.rebasedata.com/api/v1/convert?outputFormat=mariadb&errorResponse=zip' -o output.zip
The file output.zip will contain a MariaDB file, one for each input file. If something went wrong, output.zip contains the error message.

How long does it take?

The conversion process takes between 15 seconds and multiple minutes. It depends on the size of the database.
